Names Of UP Sadan And UP Bhawan In New Delhi Changed

New Delhi, Oct 7 (TNA) The names of the UP Bhawan and UP Sadan, the two residential properties of the Uttar Pradesh government in the union capital have been changed by the state government.

While The UP Sadan, where senior officials above the rank of principal secretary stay along with ministers and the chief minister during their stay in Delhi, will now be called the Uttar Pradesh Sadan Triveni.

The UP Bhawan which is for stay of accredited journalists, officials, bureaucrats, legislators will now be known as UP Bhawan Sangam, an official said. Both these properties are in the Chanakya Puri locality of New Delhi and are a sought after destination for people from UP, owing to their location, services and subsidized rates.

The name of VVIP Guest House on MG Road in Lucknow has also been changed to VVIP ‘Saket’, that of VIP Guest House Dalibagh to VIP ‘Yamuna’, State Guest House on Mirabai Marg has been rechristened as State Guest House ‘Saryu’ while the state government’s newly built guest house in Butler Palace will be now known as ‘Naimisharanya.

The UP guest house in Vashi, Navi Mumbai will now be called the same with a prefix of ‘Vrindavan’. UP guest House in Kolkata will henceforth be known as UP State Guest House ‘Ganga’, an order by VK Singh, the Rajya Sampatti Adhikari said.
