Mortal Remains Of Group Captain Varun Singh To Arrive In Bhopal Today, Cremation Tomorrow
Bhopal, December 16 (TNA) Mortal remains of Late Group Captain Varun Singh, Shaurya Chakra, are expected to reach Bhopal by Indian Air Force aircraft at around 2:30 pm on Thursday, a family source informed.
From the airport, the mortal remains will be taken to Inner Court, Sun City, Airport Road where the religious last rituals will be done exclusively by family members on arrival. Thereafter, the mortal remains will be kept in a park adjacent to Inner Court building between 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm where floral tributes will be paid by family members, near and dear ones and others.
Mortal Remains will thereafter be taken to the Military Hospital and kept in Mortuary for the night. Ceremonial drills will be at 3 EME Centre at 11:00 am on Friday and funeral will be at Bhadbhada Crematorium at 1:00 pm.
Singh passed away at a Bengaluru medical facility after being on life support for seven days. He was the lone survivor of the Chopper crash that killed 13, including the CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat in Coonoor on december 8.
