Legendary Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam Passes Away In Chennai

CHENNAI || Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, who's ang more than 40,000 songs in 16 languages and had won 6 national awards passed away at a Chennai hospital on Friday at the age of 74. He was in the medical facility since August 5 where he was admitted after he got COVID-19.

Gloom descended in the music industry as he was one of the most loved voices in India. He had worked with the likes of A R Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja and was also a recipient of the Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan.

Sadly while he tested negative a month back, his lungs could not be restored to normal condition and he continued to be on ventilator ever since. Demise of SPB, as he was popularly known, has been mourned on the social media.
