Indian Photo Journalist Danish Siddiqui Killed In Afghanistan

New Delhi, July 16 (TNA) The media world in the country plunged into grief on Friday as Indian photo-journalist Danish Siddiqui was killed in violence-hit Afghanistan.

The Reuters photographer was with the Afghan Special Forces while covering a clash between Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar city when he was killed.

Condoling the demise of the Pulitzer Prize winner Danish Siddiqui, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi requested the Government of India to facilitate the return of his mortal remains at the earliest.

The Indian journalist was covering the situation in Kandahar over the last few days.
