Government Ambulance In Bihar Caught With Smuggled Liquor, Driver Arrested
Patna, Sep 15 (TNA) In an embarrassing incident, a government ambulance in Bihar was intercepted with illegal smuggled liquor inside it. According to information available, the ambulance was seized by the local police in Chapra.
The ambulance which is meant to ferry patients however had smuggled liquor stacked into it. The ambulance had been purchased through MPLAD funds.
The local SP informed reporters that the ambulance was caught during regular checking of vehicles in Shyamchak area. He added that the vehicles were being checked on prior information of liquor smuggling.
He also informed that the driver has been arrested and an FIR has been filed against four people. RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav took a dig at the Nitish Kumar government and the liquor ban policy in the state after the incident came to light.
