Ghulam Nabi Azad Praises PM Modi As A “Liberal, Soft-hearted Politician”

New Delhi, April 5 (TNA) On the eve of the launch of his autobiography titled ‘Azad’, former Congress leader and Democratic Azad Party chief Ghulam Nabi Azad called prime minister Narendra Modi a “liberal man”. 

The autobiography will be released by Congress leader and former Union minister Karan Singh. In this, Azad has mentioned his political experiences of 55 years. He praised PM Modi in an interview before the book launching and raised questions on senior Congress leaders.

Describing Modi as liberal, Azad said that as the leader of the opposition, I opposed him many times. I didn't spare them even on the issue of Article 370, CAA and Hijab. But Modi never kept the spirit of revenge. 

He added, that Modi always behaved like a soft hearted politician. Azad resigned from Congress in August 2022 and said that instead of Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress Jodo Yatra should be taken out.
