Gas Cylinder Blast In Delhi's Shahdara Kills Four Of A Family

New Delhi, June 30 (TNA) Four people died after a cylinder exploded in Bhikham Singh Colony of Farz Bazar, Shahdara, East Delhi late on Tuesday night, police said. A youth who survived the incident suffered up to 25 percent burns.

The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Munni Devi, 22-year-old Naresh, 20-year-old Omprakash, 18-year-old Suman. They all belong to the same family. The injured has been identified as 29-year-old Lal Chand.

Nine fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and doused the fire. The police have sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem. The fire brigade received information about the fire at 12 o'clock in the night in Gali No 16 of Bhikham Singh Colony of Floor Bazaar.

After this, nine fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Firefighters brought the fire under control. 5 people were taken out from the spot and admitted to the hospital. All the deaths have been attributed to asphyxia due to smoke.
