Early Morning Tremors Jolt Kashmir, Quake Measures 4.1 On Richter Scale

SRINAGAR || The union territories of Jammu and Kashmir were jolted by an earthquake in the wee hours of Saturday. According to information available, the tremors were felt the most near Pahalgam. The quake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale.

Reports point out that in September alone, tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh ten times. According to experts, this is a matter of great concern as Jammu's Doda, Bhadarwah, Kishtwar regions are considered to be "very sensitive" to earthquakes.

No damage to life and property has bene reported so far, at least at the time of writing this report.
