Delhi Police Solves Chilling Murder Case Of A Girl Who Had A Live-In Relationship With Her Cousin
New Delhi, January 27 (TNA) The city Police have unravelled a horrifying case of love, incest, betrayal, and murder. A young woman, Shilpa Pandey (22), was strangled to death and her body stuffed into a suitcase before being set on fire in Ghazipur. Shockingly, the accused is her cousin, Amit Tiwari, with whom she had been in a live-in relationship for a year. Amit, along with his friend Anuj, has been arrested.
According to East Delhi DCP Abhishek Dhaniya, Shilpa was pressuring Amit for marriage, which led to frequent quarrels. On January 25, an intoxicated Amit killed Shilpa in a fit of rage during an argument. Struggling to dispose of the body, Amit sought help from his friend Anuj, a cab driver.
On January 26, Amit and Anuj scouted locations in a Hyundai Verna to dispose of the body but were hindered by heightened Republic Day security. Eventually, they purchased diesel for ₹160 from a Ghazipur petrol pump, packed Shilpa’s body in a suitcase, and set it ablaze at a secluded spot around 1:45 a.m. Amit then dropped Anuj home and fled to Greater Noida, intending to escape to Prayagraj. The police apprehended Amit in Greater Noida.
