Case Of Inauguration New Parliament Building Reaches Supreme Court

New Delhi, May 25 (TNA) The matter of the inauguration of the new Parliament House has now reached the Supreme Court. A PIL filed in the apex court on Thursday has demanded that the new building of Parliament should be inaugurated by the President.

Significantly, many opposition parties protesting against the inauguration of the Parliament House by the PM have announced boycotting the programme. In the petition, demand has been made to give instructions to the Lok Sabha Secretariat in this regard.

It has been said that the President is an integral part of the Parliament and not inviting him to the inauguration ceremony is against the constitutional principles. The petition has been filed on behalf of CR Jaya Sukin, a lawyer of SC itself.
