Big Election Commission Meeting Today On Elections In Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur
New Delhi, December 27 (TNA) The Election Commission is holding a big meeting on Monday with regards to the assembly elections to be held in five states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. This meeting of the commission is considered very important, because the cases of new corona virus Omicron in the country are increasing rapidly every day.
In the meeting of the Commission to be held on Monday, it is possible that a big announcement can be made regarding elections in five states. The issue of stopping political rallies can also be discussed in this meeting.
The Allahabad High Court had recently appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission to ban election rallies and postpone the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra had gone on a tour of Punjab, Goa and Uttarakhand recently.
In these states, the team of the Commission discussed with the leaders of political parties along with the police and administration regarding the assembly elections. Now on December 29, the team of the Commission will visit Uttar Pradesh to take stock of the election preparations.
