Amid Multiple Media Reports Of His Death, Family Of Zakir Hussain Says He Is Alive But Very Critical

New Delhi, December 16 (TNA) Amid multiple media reports of his passing away and subsequent obituary references by senior ministers and endless fans on social media, the family of Zakir Hussain, legendary tabla player and multiple Grammy award winner, said he was critical and undergoing treatment at a US hospital over serious heart-related ailments.

His manager, Nirmala Bachani, said the artist has been in a San Francisco hospital for the last two weeks. "My brother is deeply ill at this time. We are asking for all his fans around India and the world to pray for him, to pray for his health. But as India's greatest ever exports, do not finish him off just yet," Zakir Hussain's sister Khurshid Aulia was quoted by media outlets as having told news agency PTI.
