New Delhi, July 24 (TNA) WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71, WWE confirmed Thursday in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).

“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans,” the post read.

According to sources, emergency services responded to a cardiac arrest call at Hogan’s Clearwater, Florida, home early Thursday morning. Despite efforts from first responders, Hogan was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.

Hogan, born Terry Bollea, became a household name in the 1980s, leading WWE through its golden era and later making waves in WCW during the 1990s. His charisma and larger-than-life persona made him a cultural icon. Tributes are pouring in from fans and fellow wrestlers worldwide.
