Week-Long Lockdown Begins In Bangladesh, Trains, and Buses Also Off Service

Dhaka, April 5 (TNA) With growing cases of Coronavirus, the Bangladesh government has announced a complete week-long national lockdown across the country from today.

According to government officials, during the lockdown, all public transport services including roads, waterways, railways & domestic flight will remain also remain suspended.

However freight & emergency services will not come under the purview of the lockdown, it was informed. Like in many other countries, including neighbouring India, there has been a worrying spike in fresh cases of COVID in Bangladesh, forcing the government to take string measures.
