US Warns Of Swift And Strong Military Response If Any Of Its Personnel, Mission is Put At Risk In Afghanistan

New York, August 17 (TNA) The Biden administration has warned the new Taliban dispensation in Afghanistan of consequences if the American diplomats and nationals in the country are harmed in any way.

U.S. ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield warned Monday that any actions targeting American personnel in Afghanistan would be met with a "swift and strong military response."

She further said that the US government hopes that all citizens, from Afghanistan and from other countries who wish tod apart from Afghanistan would be allowed to do so peacefully. She also added that everyone needed to do more and step up efforts and that time is now.
