US Senate Acquits Donald Trump In Impeachment Trial

Washington, February 14 (TNA) The American Senate on Saturday voted to drop the charges against former president Donald Trump in the ongoing impeachment proceedings against him. The impeachment was underway over his role in the US Capitol riots.

The US Senate voted 57-43 to acquit former president, after he was charged with inciting the January 6 attack on the US Capitol building. Trump released a statement welcoming the decision, saying his movement "has only just begun."
