US President Biden Makes Phone Call To NATO Secretary-General

Washington, January 27 (TNA) US president Joe Biden on Tuesday had a telephonic conversation with Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, the White House said.

In the phone call, Biden thanked the NATO official for his "steadfast leadership of the alliance" and conveyed his intention to "consult and work with allies on the full range of shared security concerns".

The shared concerns, it was further informed, included "Afghanistan, Iraq and Russia". President Biden also reaffirmed the US commitment to "collective defence" under Article 5 of the North-Atlantic Treaty and underscored his commitment to strengthening transatlantic security.
