Royal Moroccan Football Federation Sets Record Straight On Controversy Surrounding The Morocco-DRC Match

Rabat, January 23 (TNA) On Monday, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) published a statement in response to the controversy that followed the 1-1 draw between Morocco and the DRC on the second day (Group F) of the 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire. The FRMF "deplores all the anti-sporting acts that followed this match, without making accusations".

The Federation recalled the special and historic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as the fraternal ties between the peoples of the two countries.

In making these clarifications, the FRMF reiterates its commitment to the values of good conduct, ethics and fair play, and considers that these events will only strengthen the fraternal ties between the two countries," the statement concluded.
