Oman Supports Morocco’s Territorial Integrity, Hails Efforts Of Moroccan King In Defending Holy City

Muscat, April 14 (TNA) The Sultanate of Oman praised the continuous efforts of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the al-Quds Committee, in defending the Holy City and preserving its status and civilizational identity.

This recognition of the major role of Mohammed VI, to the benefit of the Palestinian cause, mainly the city of al-Quds Asharif, was expressed in a joint communiqué published on the 7th Moroccan-Omani Joint Commission, co-chaired, on Sunday in Muscat, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamoud Al Busaidi.

The Sultanate of Oman also voiced, on Sunday, its support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over its entire national territory, expressing its deep appreciation for the wisdom of the Moroccan leadership, which is committed to a peaceful solution in the service of security and stability in the Maghreb region.

Describing the autonomy initiative put forward by the Kingdom of Morocco as serious and realistic, the Sultanate of Oman affirmed that it constitutes the basis for the settlement of the Moroccan Sahara issue.
