Moroccanness Of The Sahara Is An Established Fact: King Says In Green March Speech

Rabat, Nov 7 (TNA) The royal speech on the occasion of commemorating the forty-sixth anniversary of the victorious Green March is characterized, as usual, by frankness and clarity, and carries direct messages to national and international public opinion, and to the real parties in the artificial conflict over the Moroccanness of the Sahara.

It also presents the approach adopted by Morocco to resolve this conflict, which is based on three main pillars: Continuous work to consolidate the Moroccanness of the Sahara at the international level; to continue sincere cooperation with the Secretary-General of the United Nations and his Personal Envoy, in accordance with relevant Security Council resolutions; continuing the development and construction projects in the southern regions of the Kingdom, and expanding the political participation of its people in managing their local and regional affairs.

The King further said the Moroccanness of the Sahara is an established fact. There is no discussion about it, by virtue of history and legitimacy, and by the will of its people, and with wide international recognition. His Majesty Mohammed VI affirmed that the Moroccan Sahara case knows a positive dynamic that cannot be stopped.

In recent months, it has witnessed calm and tangible developments in defense of this sacred national cause among Moroccans and the most important being securing the Guerguerat crossing: On this occasion, His Majesty the King praised the Royal Armed Forces, which on November 13, 2020, secured the free movement of people and goods through the Guerguerat crossing, between Morocco and Mauritania.
