Kamala Harris Urges Congress To Pass The George Floyd Justice In Policing Act

Washington, February 26 (TNA) The US vice-president Kamala Harris has urged Congress to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which she said, represented "an important step towards ensuring more accountability and transparency in policing."

In a Tweet, she further said that " I join @POTUS in encouraging Congress to pass this legislation and get it to the President’s desk."

The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2020 is a civil rights and police reform bill drafted by Democrats in the United States Congress, including members of the Congressional Black Caucus. ... The legislation aims to combat police misconduct, excessive force, and racial bias in policing.
