Israel Rejects Hamas Demand For Yahya Sinwar's Body in Ceasefire Talks

Televiv, January 15 (TNA) Israel has refused to include the body of deceased Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in any ceasefire agreement to end the war in Gaza. Hamas reportedly demanded the release of Sinwar’s body during initial prisoner exchange negotiations in Qatar, Al Arabiya reported Tuesday. However, Israeli officials dismissed the demand outright.

Sinwar, killed in October during clashes with Israeli forces in Gaza, remains a contentious figure. The report comes amid speculation that a deal to end the 15-month war could be imminent before US President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
