Indian Embassy Helps Indian Passengers Stranded in Kuwait After Flight Emergency
Kuwait, December 2 (TNA) A Gulf Air flight from Mumbai to Manchester made an emergency landing in Kuwait due to an engine fire. Over 60 Indian passengers were stranded at Kuwait International Airport for over 13 hours. The Indian Embassy intervened, coordinating with Gulf Air to provide support, including food and lounge access, while a replacement flight was scheduled for 3:30 AM on Monday.
Indian Embassy officials immediately took up the matter with Gulf Air in Kuwait. A team from the Embassy also reached the airport to assist the passengers and coordinate with the airline. Passengers were thereafter accommodated in 2 airport lounges. Indian nationals do not fall under the Visa on arrival facility in Kuwait. All government offices are closed today due to the GCC Summit being hosted by Kuwait.
