Facebook, WhatsApp And Instagram Face Glitch, Go Down For Thousands Globally

New Delhi, December 12 (TNA) WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook were down for thousands of users globally, disrupting communication and social media activities. Meta said it was working to resolve the technical issue and was doing some last-minute checks, as most users reported that they could use the social media applications again.

According to the outage tracking website DownDetector, more than 50,000 Facebook users reported issues around 11 p.m. (IST), including problems with logging in, uploading posts, and updating existing content. Instagram was down for more than 23,000 users, with many unable to access or update posts.

Access to messages, posts and updates was either slow or completely unavailable for many. The outages affected both the desktop and mobile versions of the platforms. However, users said they were able to access WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram from both their computers and desktops.
