European Parliament President David Sassoli Passes Away

Aviano, January 11 (TNA) European Parliament President David Sassoli has passed away at age 65, a spokesperson of the European parliament has informed. Sassoli died in Aviano, Italy, where he was admitted to hospital with immune system complications.

Sassoli led the European Parliament, a European Union body that approves or rejects legislation along with establishing budgets and supervises a combination of institutions. He had been hospitalized since December 26 due to a “serious complication due to a dysfunction of the immune system.
