Cricket Lovers Have A Lot To Cheer, 13th Edition of IPL Begins In Abu Dhabi From Saturday

Over the next 53 days, it is going to be a tough task for the participating teams to win the title.

As the world continues to be ravaged by the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic, there is some reason to cheer finally. Specially for the cricket lovers.

This as after a long wait, the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) begins at Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates on Saturday.

In the maiden outing of the hugely popular sporting event, Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians will take on Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings.

The tournament was shifted to the UAE due to COVID-19 pandemic and is a TV only event. In all, 60 matches will be held in three avenues- Abu Dhabhi, Sharjah and Dubai. All the participating teams have arrived in UAE to fight it out in a neutral venue away from their home conditions.

According to the organizers, they have ensured adequate safety arrangements in place creating bio bubbles. The idea is to prevent the Coronavirus cases.
