Prayagraj, July 22 (TNA) This year the fly past to be held on the occasion of Air Force Day will be held in Prayagraj. From the modern fighter aircraft Rafale Sukhoi to the old MiG-Jaguar aircraft, along with the Indian Air Force's fleet of fighter aircraft, the parade of other warplanes and helicopters will be held on the occasion of Air Force Day on October 8 this year.

And while Prayagraj will host the 'Air Force Day Parade' ceremony this year, Bhopal will also witness the fly past parade. The Indian Air Force will celebrate its 91st anniversary this year. Prayagraj has been chosen to host the parade this year in keeping with the new tradition of taking Air Force Day out of the capital Delhi to different parts of the country.

The Air Force Day parade was held last year over the famous Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh and earlier it was held in Bengaluru. This will be the third year in a row that the Air Force Day parade and fly past is being held outside the capital Delhi.

In a statement issued regarding the hosting of the parade, the Indian Air Force has said that on October 8, the ceremonial parade will be held at Air Force Station Bamrauli while the air display will be held in the Sangam area, around the Ordnance Depot Fort in Prayagraj.

The beautiful surroundings of the Sangam will add to the charm of the parade with a flock of aircraft flying in the sky nearby.

The ceremony will begin with an air display near Bhojtal lake on September 30 in Bhopal. The actual start of Air Force Day celebrations will be from an air display near Bhojtal Lake in Bhopal on 30 Sep 2023, a week before the official parade. The Air Force will provide an opportunity to enthrall the locals with its thrilling aerobatic displays at both Prayagraj and Bhopal.
