Indian Navy Holds Training Camps For Second Term INA Courses

New Delhi, April 12 (TNA) Training camps 'Barracuda' for second term INA Courses and 'Rookie' for Naval Orientation Course, were conducted at INA last week, an official informed on Tuesday. 180 trainees including 30 women and six international trainees participated in the challenging camps. The camp is aimed at developing esprit-de-corps, camaraderie, and leadership qualities, whilst testing physical endurance and mental strength of the cadets.

The camp activities comprised endurance runs, small arms firing, tent pitching, construction of rafts and punting, obstacle courses, whaler pulling and other seamanship evolutions.

On the final day, the cadets were put to test in a highly challenging quadrathlon comprising 10 Km run in full battle gear, swimming, obstacle course and weapon firing. Daredevil Squadron and Fighter Squadron won the Camp Banner for Camp Barracuda and Camp Rookie respectively for Spring Term 22.

Vice Admiral Puneet K Bahl, Commandant, INA awarded the Camp banners and trophies to the winning squadrons during the Camp Fire and congratulated all the participants for successfully completing a milestone training activity.
