Young Man Killed In Celebratory Fire At A Function In Hardoi

Hardoi, Sep 28 (TNA) A young man was killed in celebratory firing at a function in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place on Monday night in Laikkheda of Kachhauna area.

Police have since arrested the accused. The SP reached the spot and inquired about the entire incident. Birth of the grand daughter of Mansaram, a resident of Laikkheda, was being celebrated at a ritual where a DJ had been engaged and youth were dancing, in which all of a sudden some youth started firing in influence of alchohol.

Pankaj, a resident of the village, was also there intoxicated and he also started firing joyfully with a gun. According to the people present on the spot, suddenly a fire was missed and as soon as he opened the pistol to take out the cartridges, it firer and a bullet which hit Sanjay standing there and another youngster Rahul standing behind.

Sanjay slumped on the spot. The news of two people being shot caused panic. Both were rushed to CHC for treatment, where doctors declared Sanjay dead. Police reached the spot and arrested the accused Pankaj. SP Ajay Kumar also reached in the night itself. He said that an FIR has been registered and the accused is under arrest. Police is taking further action.
