Yogi's Instructions Of Ban On Fire Crackers On Diwali Go Up In Smoke

Lucknow, Nov 14 (TNA) Strict instructions of the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on the bank of fire crackers went up in smoke as people burst crackers like always and the skyline was lit up with the flashy firecrackers. Loud crackers could be hard all across the state capital and elsewhere in the state.

People wondered aloud on how the rules and norms laid down by the state government were send to the winds by overzealous Diwali merriments makers. Police remained mute spectators of the whole tamasha as law was broken, almost in every locality and region of the state.

The state government, owing to severe air pollution, had banned the manufacture, sale and bursting of fire crackers this Diwali, but what was witnessed amply showed that the rules were broken and no one actually heard out the government.

And the law enforcers were as always, found wanting in ensuring that law was not broken. The UP government had banned crackers in 13 districts while in others there was a time limit for the bursting of crackers but it was evident on Saturday night that no one seemed to have bothered - both about rules and environment!
