Yogi Warns Against Letting Down Guard In Fight Against Coronavirus

LUCKNOW || Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that it is very important to stay cautious and alert to safeguard from infection of Covid-19 and there should be no laxity in it. Covid infection testing is regularity being intensified because of which about 1.25 Crore Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the state so far.

The figure was 1 Crore on September 30 and there has been an increase of 25 Lakh tests in the past 15 days. He also directed for special vigilance on Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar and Varanasi districts.

Presiding over a high level unlock review meeting here at Lok Bhawan on Thursday, the CM also said that the surveillance system should be further strengthened. The ICU beds in the hospitals should also be increased regularly and it should be ensured that stocks of medicines and other items related to the treatment should be available in adequate quantity.

Referring to `Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana’, the CM said that more and more people should benefit from it. Directions were also given to the Urban Development department to call a meeting of the State Level Banking Committee (SLBC) to facilitate people to get loan and other services easily for self employment.

Keeping in view the safety of women, the CM also directed to establish a women help desk at all the police stations. The state government’s campaign `Mission Shakti’ will continuously run between Shardiya Navratri and Basantik Navratri. This is a special campaign focusing on women and girl child safety and participation of all departments including the police is expected.

The state government is committed to the safety and dignity of women and girls. During Navratras, special attention should be given on executing it effectively. During the campaign, women and girls should be made aware about effective methods of self defense. He also directed that all the district magistrates should ensure that 'Mission Shakti' campaign is implemented effectively and also monitor it. Nodal officers should review it.

The CM said that the paddy purchase centers should operate effectively and equipment to measure moisture in paddy should be arranged in the centers so that farmers should not face any problems.
