Yogi Adityanath Recommends A CBI probe Into The Hathras Incident

LUCKNOW || Pushed to the back foot over the Hathras incident, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday recommended a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), additional chief secretary Home Avaneesh Kumar Awasthi informed.

The development came after he along with the director general of police (DGP) HC Awasthi flew to Hathras on a fact finding mission, on the instructions of the saffron-robed chief minister. The official duo met the family of the victim and heard them out.

They also met public representatives and discussed the whole issue with the district authorities and police official. On their return they submitted a report to the chief minister, based on which Yogi ordered that a. Recommendation be made by the state government to the centre for a CBI probe into the whole incident.
