The quarantine centres will have all the facilities for labourers returning to their home state and testing positive for Covid, including food and beverages along with medical aid.
In the wake of the upsurge in Covid cases in the state, Yogi Adityanath has directed all district magistrates to conduct RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) test of the returning migrant workers on war footing and provide the necessary medical aid to those in need.
As per the CM’s directives, all districts will have dedicated quarantine centres for returning migrant workers. Besides, the Health Department team will conduct the RT-PCR tests on migrant labourers and those workers whose reports are positive, will be quarantined and provided with food and medical aid.
