Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates ‘National Conclave On Urban Planning’

Lucknow, September 24 (TNA) With an objective to transform Uttar Pradesh cities into growth engines, a two day “National Conclave on Urban Planning” was inaugurated on Friday by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow.

Apart from the Dialogue sessions, an exhibition has also been set up in the Mars hall and Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation acted as the opening stall, where major developmental departments of Uttar Pradesh exhibited their project details and progress through individual pavilion stalls.

Yogi visited and praised the aesthetic and detailed display of UPMRC stall, which highlights the project progess and achievements of Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra Metro Projects. Glimpses of Gorakhpur Metro Lite project which is expected in future was also showcased through banner for the public.

Apart from getting detailed information about various metro projects, visitors also purchased Metro souvenir items like Metro toy train, table clocks, photo-frames etc. from the souvenir sale desk. A film depicting the 5 year journey of UPMRC’s metro projects is also the highlight of the display stall.

On this occasion, Sushil Kumar, MD, UPMRC said,”Metro has emerged as the best mode of mass transit to make travelling experience safe, convenient and hassle free for the public. Visitor’s curiosity regarding the metro projects is the testimony that how closely it relates and connects to the life of the people. To provide a world-class metro system to the public of different cities of Uttar Pradesh, we are progressing ahead with the fast paced construction work of the metro with dedication and commitment.”
