Yogi Adityanath Directs Officials To Disburse Ex-gratia To Families Who Lost Dear Ones In Recent Natural Calamities

Lucknow, February 28 (TNA) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to various disasters in the state. He also gave instructions to provide proper treatment to the injured in various natural disasters.

According to the details provided by the Relief Commissioner's office, between February 11 and February 23, 2024, 03 deaths occurred in the state due to fire, 6 due to lightning, one due to storm, 1 due to unseasonal heavy rains, 4 due to drowning, 4 due to human-wildlife conflict. There have been 3 casualties and 2 casualties due to animals. A total of 10 animals have died due to these disasters.

Of these, there has been 1 loss of life each in Gonda, Fatehpur and Farrukhabad districts due to the fire. There have been 4 casualties in Mirzapur district and 2 in Prayagraj due to lightning. There has been 1 loss of life in the Hamirpur district due to the storm.

There has been 1 loss of life in the Prayagraj district due to unseasonal heavy rains. There has been 1 loss of life due to drowning in Gonda, Ghazipur, Baghpat and Farrukhabad districts. There has been one loss of life each in Bijnor, Pilibhit and Pratapgarh districts due to human-wildlife conflict.

There have been 1 loss of life due to animals in Bijnor and Pilibhit districts. According to the details provided by the Relief Commissioner's office, a total amount of Rs 80 lakh has been provided to each affected family in case of loss of life due to the disaster, with a permissible relief amount of Rs 4 lakh.

There is a provision to give compensation amount of Rs 37,500 in case of loss of big and milch animals, Rs 4,000 in case of loss of small animals, Rs 32,000 in case of loss of big and non-milch animals and Rs 20,000 in case of loss of small and non-milch animals. There has been one cattle loss each in Farrukhabad and Pilibhit districts, 2 animals in Baghpat and 3 animals each in Ghazipur and Sonbhadra. Compensation amount has been provided to the affected people in respect of the total loss of 10 animals.
