Yogi Adityanath Announces Rs 10 Lakh For Family Of Murdered TV Journalist

LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 10 lakh for the Uttar Pradesh journalist who was gunned down by assailants in Ballia district late on Monday.

An official of the government informed that the chief minister has also expressed his sadness at the incident and has extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the television journalist.

The official also informed that the chief minister has directed the police to take the strictest action agains the accused.

The TV journalist Ratan Singh was shot thrice in his village. The police has since arrested four assailants. There have been many cases of attacks and killings of scribes in Uttar Pradesh in the past few months.
