'Yellow Alert' Sounded In 28 Districts Of Uttar Pradesh As Skies Open Up

Lucknow, Sep 14 (TNA) As the skies opened up over many parts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, the Weatherman has sounded a ‘yellow alert’ for rains in 28 districts of the state.

This means rains accompanied by gutsy winds ranging between 40-50 kmph would occur in Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Saharanpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ambedkar Nagar, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Barabanki, Lucknow, Unnao, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat.

There is a normal rain alert in Kannauj, Hardoi, Sitapur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar, Maharajganj, Ballia, Deoria and Ghazipur. It has been raining intermittently from Tuesday night in Kanpur, Jhansi, Ayodhya and Lucknow.

Cold winds are blowing due to snowfall on the mountains. JP Gupta, director of the Zonal Science Center, says that for the next 5 days, it will continue to rain in one or the other district across the state.
