Woman Dies, 19 Injured In Greater Noida As Private Bus From Punjab, Headed For Bihar Is Hit By A Speeding Truck

Noida, August 8 (TNA) One woman died and 19 others were injured in a road mishap in greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, police said on Sunday. The mishap took place at a place under the Qadri Police Station.

A private bus (PB13 AL2695) was headed to Bihar from Punjab when a speeding truck hit it from the rear, on the Eastern-Peripheral, leading to injuries to many passengers on board. A woman died on the spot while 19 others were injured.

The body has been sent for post-mortem by the Police and the injured rushed to a nearby medical facility, where condition of all, is stated to be out of danger.

A case has bene registered against the truck driver, who reportedly fled the crime scene. The bus was full of a steel wire consignment, wrapped in big bundles.
