Woman Constable Of Agra Punished After Instagram Video With Revolver Sends Her Resignation
Agra, Sep 3 (TNA) Woman constable of the Uttar Pradesh Police, Priyanka Mishra, who came into the limelight after uploading a video on Instagram of her with an official pistol, has resigned from the service. So far the SSP has not accepted the resignation.
She has said that she is immensely hurt by the comments being made on social media. On August 24, the female constable Priyanka Mishra was sent to police lines due to her video as a punishment.
Originally a resident of Kanpur, Priyanka was posted at MM Gate police station. This is her first posting in Agra after training in Jhansi. She had made a video in uniform with a revolver in her hand. The video was about Rangbaazi.
In the video she was seen saying how in Uttar Pradesh, five-year-old boys handle weapons with elan. After this video went viral, she was sent to the lines on the report of CO Kotwali Archana Singh.
Before this video went viral, she had only one thousand followers on Instagram, a number which has now swelled up to 15400.
