With Steady Decline In Covid Cases, Night Curfew Lifted Across Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow, Oct 20 (TNA) With a steady decline in the number of Covid cases in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday lifted the night curfew. However, a government spokesman said following of Covid protocols would remain mandatory.
He further informed that from tonight there would be no restriction on night movement between 11 pm to 6 am, as was in place for the last many months.
The government has however said that while Covid cases were waning, it was still not completely gone and hence officials should ensure strict compliance to the Covid protocols.
In the last 24-hours, only 17 new cases have been found in the state, taking the number of active cases to 112. So far more than 16.87 lakh people have been cured of the virus.
