With Improved Covid Control, Sunday Closure Done Away With In Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, August 20 (TNA) The festival of Raksha Bandhan would see the doing away of the Sunday closure of markets. This, as chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday instructed officials that the Sunday closure be done away with as the Covid situation in the state has considerably improved.

From now on in all cities/markets/industries/factories, the holiday should be implemented on the date of weekly closure which was effective before the Covid period. With continuous efforts, with effective control over the second wave of corona, life is rapidly returning to normal.

On Friday, in 15 districts of the state (Aligarh, Amethi, Badayun, Basti, Deoria, Farrukhabad, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Hathras, Kasganj, Mahoba, Mirzapur, Sant Kabeernagar, Shravasti and Shamli) there is not a single patient of Covid left.

In the last 24-hours, 26 new patients were confirmed in the testing. In the same period, 23 patients were healthy and discharged. So far, 16 lakh 85 thousand 877 residents of the state have become healthy after getting rid of corona infection.

On an average, more than 2.5 lakh tests are being done every day, while the positivity rate remains 0.01 and the recovery rate is 98.6 percent. In the testing of 02 lakh 33 thousand 350 samples conducted in the last 24 hours, not a single new case of infection was found in 58 districts, while patients were found in unit digit in 17 districts.

At present, the number of active Covid cases in the state has come down to 408. This is the time to exercise caution and caution. A little carelessness can become a factor in increasing the infection.

Uttar Pradesh has implemented the policy of rapid vaccination along with aggressive tracing, testing and treatment to control Covid. So far, more than 07 crore 01 lakh 69 thousand Covid samples have been tested in the state, while more than 6.24 crore vaccine doses have been administered.

More than 5.26 crore people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while the number of people receiving both the doses will soon cross one crore. Reserve Saturdays for those who are eligible for the second dose of the vaccine.
