With 992 Fresh Covid Cases, UP Issues Fresh Guidelines

Lucknow, January 4 (TNA) With more than 992 new cases of Covid, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath took a late night review of the situation and the state of preparedness of the health infrastructure. While he told officials to ensure that there were no rumours or panic about the new variant Omicron, tally of which stands at 23 in UP as of now, he asked officials to ensure compliance of Covid protocols.

It has also been decided that all government and private schools upto class 10th will remain closed till Makar Sankranti. He also instructed officials to ensure that if the minimum number of Covid infected patients reaches 1000 in any district, there gyms, spas, cinema halls, naquet halls, reastaurant and other publics places to operate at 50% of their capacity.

The government has also asked all government, private, semi-government, trusts, organisations, companies, historical places, offices, religious shrines, hotels, restaurants and industrial units to operationalsie the Covid help desks. The chief minister also asked his officials to ensure that all the devotees attending the ‘Prayagraj Magh Mela’ have a negative RTPCR report of within 48-hours.
