VRS Application Of 2008 Batch IAS Officer Vidya Bhushan Accepted

Lucknow, March 3 (TNA) The union government has cleared the petition of IAS officer Vidya Bhushan under the voluntary retirement scheme (VRS). The 2008 batch officer had applied for voluntary retirement on September 1, 2022.

In an order, the GoI has said that the VRS would be applicable from the day an order to this effect is issued by the Uttar Pradesh government and would be accepted from the date of application. Bhushan’s wife and IPS officer Alankrita Singh is already under suspension for going to foreign without permission.

The 2008-batch officer Vidya Bhushan is originally from Bihar. He has been the DM of Amethi, Pratapgarh, Etawah and had applied for VRS while being MD PVVNL in Varanasi on medical ground.
