Violence In Jaunpur After Murder Of A Young Wrestler, Mob Torches Ambulance
Jaunpur, May 7 (TNA) There was a ruckus in the Gaurabadshahpur police station area late Friday night after the murder of a young wrestler. The miscreants set a 108 ambulance on fire, while several private vehicles including police vehicles were also vandalized. There are also reports of injuries to many people in the riot that lasted for an hour.
In a dispute over an egg shop in Dharmapur market of police station area late on Friday evening, miscreants killed young wrestler Badal Yadav (22) with a knife. Along with this, the wrestler's partner Ankit Yadav was also injured with a knife. As soon as the information about the murder of the youth was received, hundreds of angry villagers reached the spot with sticks and damaged the shop and beat up the shopkeeper.
After this the villagers reached near Prasad Tirahe and started creating ruckus. When Gaura police and 112 police reached as soon as the information was receive. A dozen private vehicles were also vandalized along with 112 police vehicles. An ambulance was also set ablaze.
On information, the police and the squad of 112 were also rushed by the villagers. 108 ambulance was set ablaze. The villagers kept on rioting for about an hour. Seeing the crowd becoming uncontrollable, the force of many police stations reached and it was only then that the police were able to disperse the villagers.
