Villagers In Mainpuri Allege Large-scale Corruption In Mnrega Scheme

Mainpuri, Sep 24 (TNA) Large-scale corruption has been alleged in Mnrega by villagers on panchayat Kaitholi of Kishni development block of district Mainpuri.

Here the villagers have accused the former village head Where the villagers accused Aklesh Kumar, the former head of the Gram Sabha had included 24 beneficiaries under MNREGA in the animal shed shelter scheme without informing them, by including their names in the scheme.

They further said in collusion with him, several lakhs of rupees have been swindled. The villagers who were selected in the list of the scheme told reporters that after selecting 24 beneficiaries in their village, the construction of animal shelter has been shown in the list by showing it completed several months ago.

Whereas till now no animal shelter shed of any beneficiary has been built in the entire village. No work has been done on the ground. By showing the complete plan on paper, everyone together has wasted money.

The villagers alleged that if the government administration conducts a high-level inquiry into their gram panchayat, then even bigger scams will come out in their grampanchayat. After the matter came to the notice of the media, now the officials are talking of action.
