Vehicles In Motorcade Of BJP Leader Damaged After Tiff With Protesting Farmers On UP Gate In Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, June 30 (TNA) There was a tiff between the BJP workers at protesting farmers at the UP Gate in Ghaziabad on Wednesday, police said. An official said the protesting farmers who have been camping at the UP Gate for the past seven months against three farm laws brought by Modi government, reportedly pelted stones at the cavalcade of a BJP leader Amit Valmiki was going from Delhi to UP Gate.

Valmiki was recently appointed secretary of the state unit of the ruling party and was headed for a reception on the UP Gate. As soon as the information about the altercation was received, heavy police force reached the spot.

After this incident, BJP workers are demonstrating outside the Ghaziabad SSP office. SP City Gyanendra Singh says that heavy police force has been deployed on the spot and the matter is being investigated. There is no information about any injuries, he added.
