Vehicle Rams Into Roadside Tree In Pilbhit, Three Killed

Pilibhit, May 10 (TNA) A speeding DCM lost control and collided with a tree, killing three labourrers and leaving 33 injured. The ill-fated bus was going from Moradabad to Lakhimpur Kheri in the wee hours of Friday. The DCM driver dozed off near village Bijnor on the Assam Highway.

Police reached the spot after getting information and took the injured out of DCM and sent them to the district hospital. The driver, badly trapped in the DCM, was pulled out after three hours of painstaking efforts. He was also sent to the district hospital in critical condition.

After the accident, there was a queue of vehicles on both sides of the highway. Police got the damaged vehicle removed after which the traffic on the busy road turned to normal.
