Varanasi Police Slaps Gangster Act On Jailed Mafia Atul Rai

Varanasi, October 23 (TNA) Continuing its ongoing offensive against organised crime, the Varanasi Police on Saturday slapped the Gangster Act on jailed mafia don Atul Rai. According to information available, a case has been field against Rai under the Gangster Act in the Lanka police station.

The Gangster Act has also been slapped against Sujeet Belwa. Both have dozens of criminal cases against their names in different police stations. At present, Atul Rai is lodged in the Naini jail in Prayagraj.

Rai is a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Lok Sabha MP from Ghosi parliamentary constituency.
