UPSRTC Bus Catches Fire In Rae Bareli, Nine Sustain Burn Injuries

Rae Bareilly, Nov 29 (TNA) Passengers on board a UP Roadways bus had a providential escape on Monday when the vehicle caught fire in Harchandpur area of Rae Bareilly, police said. Nine persons on board however sustained burn injuries and are being treated at a local medical facility.

One of the passengers sustained serious injuries and has been referred to the Trauma Center in Lucknow. The incident took place on the Lucknow-Prayagraj Highway. The bus belonged to the Alambagh Depot of the UPSRTC. Senior police officials rushed to the scene of the incident and promptly oversaw the rescue and relief operations.
