UP's Single Day COVID Tally At An All Time High Of 12787, Lucknow Logs 4059 New Cases In 24-Hours

Lucknow, April 10 (TNA) The Corona second wave has become more deadly in Uttar Pradesh with a staggering 12787 cases being reported in the past 24-hours. The state capital Lucknow is the worst hit with a whopping 4059 fresh cases in a single day, more than a thousand over the past day.

What is more alarming is the fact that government statistics show that 23 people have died in the past 24-hours in Lucknow alone due to COVID infection. 48 persons have perished in the last one

Day across Uttar Pradesh. The threat in Prayagraj continued on Saturday with 1460 fresh cases and two deaths. Kanpur city reported 706 new cases and Varanasi 983.

Noida has reported 221 new cases and Gorakhpur 422. Ghaziabad also increased the load of fresh cases with 159 new cases and Jhansi has reported 235 new cases. The huge surge also shows that initiatives like night curfew don't seem to be working and that the state government might think of some more strict measures in near future.
